Today, I’m diving into a comprehensive home renovation plan that promises to transform an existing master bathroom into a dual-function space, optimise living and dining areas, and introduce stylish new window treatments. Let’s walk through the details of this exciting project.

Client Brief

My clients came to me with a clear vision: they wanted to reconfigure their master bathroom to incorporate an ensuite, create efficient space planning for their living and dining rooms, and add a wall of joinery in the living area. Additionally, they desired new window treatments that would enhance privacy and warmth.

Plan Proposal

Bathroom and Ensuite Transformation

The existing master bathroom will be reimagined into both a master bathroom and an ensuite. Currently an L-shaped space with a separate toilet, the new design will enclose the entire area, utilising some space from the hallway’s linen cupboard.

Key changes include:

Relocating the existing bedroom door to the hallway.
Creating a new bathroom door accessible from the hallway.
Adding a door from the wall housing the built-in wardrobe to the ensuite.

Despite its narrow layout, the ensuite will be highly functional, meeting all the client’s needs.

Mood Board

My mood board showcases a blend of materials including marble look tiles, timber, and colour suggestions, lighting and joinery reflecting a modern farmhouse style.

Bathroom + Ensuite Concept

The bathroom and ensuite concept emphasises clean lines, modern fixtures, and efficient use of space. The design includes high-quality materials that ensure durability and style in a busy bathroom for 3 children. Plus, a sanctuary for the parents of these children in their new dream ensuite.

Living Room Joinery Concept

The living room joinery will be both functional and aesthetically pleasing, providing storage solutions that blend seamlessly with the room’s decor and layout.

Bedroom Joinery Concept

The bedroom joinery concept includes a mix of drawers and hanging space, designed to maximise storage while maintaining a modern farmhouse appearance with shaker profile doors and drawers.

Materials

I’ve carefully selected a range of wall and floor tiles that complement the overall modern farmhouse aesthetic. These materials are not only visually appealing but also practical and easy to maintain and timeless.
